April has been a title agent for a little over a decade and brings a wealth of knowledge and a love for this industry. She owned and operated her own title company for 7 years before deciding to join the Supreme Team. She is well versed in all areas of title, but absolutely loves the first time home buyer. We are truly blessed to have her on our team!

How did you get started in the title industry?

Completely by accident. I was in school for Dental Hygiene at 19 years old and working as a receptionist at a Title Company. The owner said I should consider Title as a career, and the rest was history…I learned everything from start to finish and fell in love with the title industry in the process.

Tell me about your best/favorite closing.

I did a closing early on in my career (prior to having children) and the elderly couple was selling their family home of over 40 years. You could tell this was a hard move for them; they had raised their children in the home and had so many memories. We took our time at the closing table and laughed together for over two hours – they reminisced about the property and family…and told me so many wonderful stories and tips. Plant a tree on your property for each birth and take pictures of the children in front of it. Measure kids on a spot in their room that you never paint over. Buy as many properties that you can investment-wise, you can never go wrong in real estate…I could go on. When we were all done the wife told me “I am ready for a new family to begin their story in this home, I can only hope they are blessed with all the laughter and love that we have filled it with”.

What is a charity you are involved with and why?

Children Hunger Project and Space Coast Basket Brigade mean so much to me. Our Suntree office is a drop-off location every year for the Basket Brigade; we are always so grateful for the donations our clients and friends bring to the office, all to help the families of Brevard. My family and I volunteer our time on weekends to assist with the Hunger Project. The idea that children and families are going without food and essentials right here in our own community is unacceptable to me, and extremely and heartbreaking.

Describe a typical evening after you leave the office.

Before I even get home, I run my children around to their extracurricular activities – my son does hip-hop dance and my daughter is a cheerleader. Once I get home I take a long walk with my dog, Harper, on the beautiful Viera wetland trails that surround my community. Next, that ever-present housework…and finally a long bath to unwind!

What is a charity you are involved with and why?
